Erasmus+ BIP Lithography

The Freie Druckgrafik Werkstatt of the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach took part in the international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Landscapes in Stone – Lithography”, organized by the Escola Llotja (Barcelona) in collaboration with the Accademia di Brera and the Escola d’Art d’Olot.

The programme combined an online preparatory phase with an intensive on-site week in Barcelona and Olot, bringing together students and professors from several European institutions to work collaboratively in the field of lithography.

The academic framework connected the volcanic landscape of the Olot region with the artistic legacy of Joan Miró, a former student of Llotja. Working in international teams, participants developed graphic projects reinterpreting landscape and lithographic tradition through contemporary approaches. The programme also included cultural visits, among them the Fundació Joan Miró.

The participation of the HfG took place within the framework of the Freie Druckgrafik Werkstatt under the coordination of Lorena Pradal, strengthening international academic exchange and fostering technical and conceptual dialogue around lithography as an expanded artistic practice.

Through initiatives such as Erasmus+ BIP, short-term mobility formats enhance European cooperation, build networks between printmaking workshops, and encourage new pedagogical and artistic perspectives in the field of graphic arts.
